EXAMPLE Sofyani, H. (2018). Does performance-based budgeting correlate with a performance measurement system? Evidence from local government in Indonesia. Foundations of Management, 10(1), 163–176. Introduction: Sofyani’s (2018) study uses a mixed-method approach to provide the viewpoint of participants and closed-ended questions to quantify responses to questions. Research Question /Hypothesis; Sofyani tests two hypotheses, (a) H1: “The development of performance measurement system positively influences the effectiveness of performance-based budgeting”, and (b) H2: “The limitations of information system negatively influences the effectiveness of performance-based budgeting” (Sofyani, 2018 pg.5). Analysis: Sofyani (2018) found that Performance-Based Budgeting (PBB) and Performance Measurement Scores (PMS) when done accurately increased accountability. Sofyani determined a key feature of both the PMS and the PBB was the education of users in the local government discipline. Relationship to my study: Sofyana (2018) is helpful in my field of study as it provides an avenue of how performance match up with the budget and how you assess the performance of senior local government. This study can be helpful to the Jamaican local government as it offers suggestions on how to measure the performances of key personnel. YOU TUBE VIDEO: ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY | APA 7th ed. FORMAT
